Benchmark Services have worked on behalf of most of the major scientific equipment manufacturers. We have experience of handling an extensive range of equipment from ULT freezers, microbiological cabinets and liquid handling arrays to mass spectrometers, HPLC stacks, incubators and centrifuges.

Over the years we have worked closely with many suppliers to develop and refine handling techniques and packaging design to ensure the safe delivery of delicate and expensive products.

We specialize in the delivery of equipment to “Final Position of Use” which is usually in a laboratory or associated area. To facilitate this, we have invested heavily in very specialized equipment and staff training. In particular, all our teams are highly skilled in stair-walking techniques. In addition, deliveries into Clean Room environments require that particular consideration be given to materials used in the construction of handling equipment.

On occasion, it is necessary to provide appropriate floor covering, lift lining and handrail protection.

Benchmark have undertaken many challenging deliveries that have required the use of cranes, telescopic fork lifts and hoists. However, at all times, safety is our primary consideration and we will only undertake a delivery if the risk assessment and method statement supports this fundamental operating principal.
